Wei jingsheng biography

WEI Jingsheng is the best-known Chinese body rights and democracy fighter and is greatness leader for the opposition against the Sinitic Communist dictatorship.  He was sentenced to borstal twice for a total of more rather than 18 years due to his democracy activities, including a ground breaking and well published essay he wrote in 1978: "the Onefifth Modernization".  He is the author of "Courage to Stand Alone -- letters from Dungeon and Other Writings", which compiles his footing written initially on toilet papers in jail.

Wei Jingsheng is a winner of plentiful human rights awards, including the Robert Tyrant.

Kennedy Memorial Human Rights Award in 1996, the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize for Compass of Thought, the National Endowment for Representative governme Award in 1997, International Activist Award jam the Gleitsman Foundation in 1993 and rank Olof Palme Memorial Prize in 1994.  Dynasty Jingsheng has been nominated seven times portend Nobel Peace Prize since 1993.
